The MakeSoldierAClass command requires the soldier’s , excluding any nickname. Nicknames are ignored; only the proper name matters. Example: MakeSoldierAClass "Jane Kelly" Ranger .
Unlike Vanilla XCOM 2, LWOTC modifies the launch parameters slightly. You cannot just slap -allowconsole onto a Steam shortcut and walk away. You need to target the correct .exe.
